Keith Siddall
Founder / CEO
A prolific campaign engineer and field veteran of both candidate and ballot initiative victories, Keith first entered the political organizing sphere in 2016, being inspired by Bernie Sanders' initial presidential run. From 2016 through 2018, he contributed to the gubernatorial victories of Roy Cooper (NC), JB Pritzker (IL), and helped lead national operations at CADC for dozens of DNC/DCCC candidate races across half the country for the 2018 midterms. Keith then turned his focus to direct democracy campaigns, beginning with a contract assignment on the referendum petition against Ohio’s 2019 House Bill 6 (the FirstEnergy Bailout Bill), a notorious anti-corruption battle chronicled in the recently released documentary “The Dark Money Game” available on HBO.
After contributing to the success of multiple ballot initiative campaigns including Ranked Choice Voting for Alaska and campaign finance reform for Outlaw Dirty Money in Arizona, Keith assumed statewide operational responsibilities and personally delivered the turn-in of truckloads of petitions to state offices for ballot initiative contracts including Reproductive Rights Ohio ’23, MJ legalization Ohio ’23, Anti-Gerrymandering/Citizen’s Redistricting Ohio ’24, Reproductive Rights Missouri ’24, and mostly recently helped build out Missouri’s Redistricting Referendum in 2025.
Keith comes from a working class family and is committed to lasting, meaningful victories for the 99%, for human rights, civil rights, voting rights, and the preservation of the environment for all future generations. Keith founded Paper Street as a home for progressive groups and candidates seeking a trusted ally in a campaign field partner, and for campaign staffers seeking both consistent work aligned with progressive values, and the respect and support that this work deserves.
Sukaina Hamka
Operations
Sukaina began her journey in activism as a student organizer with RiseFree, excelling in recruitment, event planning and social media outreach. Suki has also done work with the International Rescue Committee in New York supporting newly arrived refugee families navigating transition and belonging, and taught English to young students in Seoul, South Korea. More recently, she organized teams and supported state operations for Nevada Democratic Victory in the 2022 midterms.
Sukaina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies from Wayne State University and a Master’s in Experimental Humanities and Social Engagement from New York University, where her thesis explored Lebanese diasporic identity through oral history and multimedia storytelling. She brings a background rooted in cross-cultural collaboration and community storytelling. Suki is a proud advocate for the power of human connection across borders as a catalyst for lasting understanding and change.
Growing up in an immigrant household, Suki is deeply passionate about the multifaceted layers of the human experience where migration, displacement, and human rights intersect. Throughout her experience as both an educator and a community organizer, she remains committed to advocating for the rights of displaced individuals, education access, and health care.
Areana Hamilton
FIELD TRAINING
Areana is an experienced grassroots organizer who has worked on high-profile campaigns across the country, engaging communities through voter outreach, petition drives, and direct public engagement. Drawing from her years of experience working with diverse communities and campaign teams, she brings a broad perspective and adaptable approach to training organizers for measurable success in the field. Her firsthand experience has taught her that the strongest leaders are those who lead by example, communicate with authenticity, and never stop learning.
As a training manager with Paper Street, Areana guides new canvassers in building the confidence, communication skills, and resilience they need to succeed. She believes effective training goes beyond teaching a script—it means helping people understand the purpose behind the work, navigate real conversations, overcome challenges, and grow into leaders themselves. Her goal is to create a supportive learning environment where every team member feels valued, prepared, and empowered to represent campaigns with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm.
Areana is passionate about strengthening civic engagement and empowering communities through grassroots organizing. She takes pride in developing strong teams that not only achieve campaign goals, but also build meaningful connections with the people and causes they serve. Areana believes every conversation has the potential to make a difference, and she is committed to helping the next generation of organizers become confident leaders who inspire others and make a lasting impact.
Mel Devaney
Melissa has been a powerful force in petition and voter registration quality control since 2021 when she started as a petition processor, before transitioning into validation and quality control team management. Mel has validated and guaranteed the final work product submitted to state offices for progressive initiatives such as Outlaw Dirty Money in Arizona (2022), Reproductive Rights in Ohio (2023) legalization of recreational marijuana in Ohio (2023), voter registration efforts in California (2023-2024), and managing the processing and accuracy of petitions for Arizona Open Primaries in 2024.
Melissa is deeply motivated by the opportunity to contribute to causes that fundamentally impact communities and give voters a stronger voice in shaping policy directly. She takes great pride in contributing to efforts that encourage civic participation and meaningful progress, and looks forward to continuing work that drives positive change.
Validation / QC
Brandon Richardson
Brandon is a validation sage, with years of experience in petition processing and quality assurance for ballot initiative and voter engagement campaigns across the United States. With a natural talent for finite detail at the micro and macro level, Brandon has helped guarantee compliance and contributed to the integrity of some crucial ballot initiative wins.
Over multiple election cycles, Brandon has worked on projects involving tribal recognition efforts in Alaska (2021), term limits in North Dakota (2022), campaign finance reform in Arizona (2022), reproductive rights in Ohio (2023), voter registration initiatives in California (2023), open primary elections in Arizona (2023), and teacher compensation efforts in Nevada (2024). He is committed to detail-oriented work, efficient processing, and maintaining high standards of accuracy in every project. Brandon is driven by the belief that every eligible voter deserves confidence in the democratic process. He takes pride in performing careful, accurate work that helps ensure petition campaigns are supported by reliable data and thorough quality standards.
